Egypt and Italy agreed to set up a new industrial zone in Egypt to attract more Italian investments especially in the field of small and medium-size enterprises, in particular in leather sector in Badr City. The Italian Minister of Trade and Industry Emma Bonino and the the Egyptian counterpart Rasheed Mohamed Rasheed during a meeting in Cairo talked about the establishment of a joint venture at a capital worth 500 million euros in the field of the ready-to-wear clothes and textile and weaving in Borg el-Arab. Both parts are willing to promote cooperation in the fields of technology transfer, renewable energy and the modernization of technology centres. Moreover, Italy will provide professional training to 1,500 Egyptian workers in different industrial fields
