Background
The fresh-fruit Egyptian sector can play a competitive role on European market thanks to the low production costs and the favourable seasonal conditions. The most interesting and high added-value species are: strawberries, peaches, apricots, nectarines and seedless table grape. For personal reasons, an Egyptian entrepreneur is willing to sell off at least 50% of its company and is looking for a trading and productive partnership with a foreign entrepreneur (preferably Italian).
The company covers an area of 150 Ha almost completely planted and its value is estimated around 30 EGP million (4,3 M euro). Seedless table grape, mango, peaches, apricots and strawberries occupy 90% of the area. The rest is nurseries.
The company has also a dedicated area to the product handling and is equipped with cooling rooms.
The annual turnover is around 10 M EGP (1,5 M euros) and the net profit is around 2 M EGP (290 K Euros).
The company is located on the Cairo-Alessandria road and less than two hours far from the port which communicates with the most important European markets. Onemedit role
Onemedit’s mandate is to search for one or more potential partners who are interested in buying the 50% share of the Egyptian company. After a deep evaluation of the business project offered by the Egyptian counterpart, Onemedit, on the mid of February, is going to film the production system and consequently to start its researches and preliminary meetings with potential investors.
