| Egypt Minister of Transport and the Italian Government have signed an agreement in order to raise the equivalent of L.E 64 million funding to support ENR’s (Egyptian National Railways Authority) 5 years renovating plan. The plan itself provides for the increase of ENR human resources and remuneration and aims at improving ENR technical capabilities. It also involves a tangible IT infrastructure revamping component. Thanks to this agreement Egypt will receive from Italy 10 national traction experts to assist ENR staff over the next 5 years. Italy has finally entered Egypt’s traction market but with this agreement, has charged itself with a huge work of know-how in this sector, both nationally and internationally.
